Notes: Happiness drives performance, not the other way around.
Group 1: Emotional self awareness and Optimism
High O, Low ESA: ignoring underlying issues, choose to ignore, fun to be with, can come across as being ignorant, can lead to burnout, overworked.
Low O, High ESA: get into a circle of negativity, looking at the negatives, not the positives, afraid to take risks. Might have trouble trusting others, because they doubt themselves. Have low wellbeing score, low level of happiness. Can get others into a downward spiral.
Group 2: Self regard and reality testing
High SR, Low RT: over confident, arrogant, not grounding things in facts, get yourself out of your depth, overstretching yourself, avoiding responsibility. Can be a slightly more male trait.
Low SR, High RT: low self confidence, doubt yourself, need lots of evidence, decision paralysis, overthink situations, are hyperaware, imposter syndrome.
Group 3: Empathy and Independence
Empathy is recognizing, understanding, and appreciating how other people feel. Empathy involves being able to articulate your understanding of another’s perspective and behaving in a way that respects others’ feelings. Independence is the ability to be self-directed and free from emotional dependency on others. Decision-making, planning, and daily tasks are completed autonomously.
High E, Low I: get sucked in, make no progress
Low E, High I: bulldozer, gets things done, all about self promotion, doesn’t take others on the journey, not aligned with others.
High E Low I – understanding everyone’s emotions but unable to make decisions because of everyone else. Sucked in to the other person’s emotions. unable to support. getting muddled/ take on the other other person. Team might feel not making any progress. Low E High I- Bulldozing – going regardless. Team might not feel considered, heard, not team work. lone ranger. just wanted to get things done. devalued – had worked hard. if you’re not on the same page – they can get frustrated.
