Acceptance

When we stop judging everything and everyone, we can begin to accept.  This does not mean that we don’t share our opinion on things, it simply means we don’t push boulders.  Have you ever felt like a small ant pushing a large boulder up a huge hill?  Have you experienced that feeling of being overwhelmed when trying to change something that just doesn’t seem to want to budge?  Why do we continue pushing that boulder until we are exhausted and sometimes have it roll right over us?

In New World Leadershipâ„¢ we know that a leader who learns to stop judging everything and everyone, and who truly accepts their employees as they are, is a leader who can build the foundation to responsible self-management.

Consider the following we at Change Innovators associate with Acceptance:

  • Allow the words of others to be their own without rejection
  • Create a space for compassionate interpretations when in conflict
  • Acknowledge we do not have control over other people

It is important to note that acceptance does not mean agreement.  Just because a person accepts things as they are does not mean they agree with it.  It simply means that they choose to view things as they are with no negative emotions attached.

The goal is to always get optimal performance from each and every person based on their capabilities and skill set and to know when to assist a person into a new opportunity.    Applying non-judgement and acceptance can be the beginning of creating an environment where accountability can flourish.

Be the change you want to see in your organization, redefining your approach to success with New World Leadershipâ„¢.  Transformation starts with more meaningful human connections.  We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
